Versatile. At 4.4lbs (2kg), the LWZ.3 21-100mm is unmatched in lightness for the focal range, a feat that Zeiss achieves by forgoing auto-focus features – this lens is fully manual. The Zeiss Interchangeable Mount System (IMS) allows users to switch from one lens mount to one of four others in minutes. This saves time and money switching between productions (no third-party adapters needed; a single lens usable between cameras with different mounts), and also during production (wide focal range means no switching between multiple fixed length lenses).

Accurate. Capture vivid, colorful images thanks to the calibrated scales of the LWZ.3 which provide consistent imaging quality across the whole image field. The focus is steady over the entire focal length. No vignetting or focus shift. The MTF curves confirm sharpness from edge to edge, even at 21mm. The lens covers up to a Super 35mm image sensor (that coverage range includes Academy 35 and APS-C formats). The lens has a near-constant T-stop of T2.9, dropping only at the end of its focal range.

Smart Construction. The Lightweight Zoom 21-100mm T2.9-3.9 is built with a rugged, splash-proof housing that sports robust gears and fixed gear positions that are optimal for follow focus and lens control systems. Zeiss T*® anti-reflecting coating combined with internal light traps reduce reflections and suppress flare in the lens. The front diameter of the lens is the same as Compact Prime lenses – this means your matteboxes and other accessories for those lenses will also work with the LWZ.3 21-100mm.
