24.2MP Exmor CMOS & BIONZ X. The APS-C image sensor on the a6500 boasts 24.2 effective megapixels; and thanks to the BIONZ X image processor, its sensitivity ranges from ISO 100-51200 with low noise.
In-Body 5-Axis Image Stabilization. The 5-Axis Image Stabilization is so named for compensating for five times of camera shake. The Sony Alpha a6500 gets an effective 5-stop-faster shutter speed because of it. All 5 axes of stabilization will function at all times — even when used with third-party lenses and adapters or lenses with built-in optical stabilization.
4D Focus. With 425 on-chip phase-detection points along with 169 contrast-detection points, the a6500 camera features an outstanding density of focusing points. This density is the powerhouse behind the camera’s High-Density AF Technology which seamlessly activates AF points to cover and track subjects moving within frame with unerring precision.
UHD 4K Video. Record UHD 4K video internally in multiple frame rates of up to 30fps and, based on the Super35mm recording area and effective 20MP resolution, 2.4x oversampling renders greater detail and full pixel readout is possible without pixel binning. Full HD 1080p recording is also supported at frame rates up to 120fps.
