Try One of These Instead:

The Sony PXW-X320 camcorder is part of Sony’s XDCAM line and features three 1/2″-type Full-HD Exmor CMOS sensors. Building on the success of the PMW-320, the PXW-X320 high-performance SxS memory camera supports multiple SD and HD codecs — including XAVC at 100Mbps.

PXW-X320 Features:

  • 3 x 1/2″ Exmor CMOS Sensors
  • Supports: XAVC, MPEG, HD422, MPEG HD, MPEG IMX, and DVCAM
  • Records to SxS Memory Cards
  • 16x Optical Zoom Lens with Servo Control
  • Genlock & Timecode
  • The Sony X320 sports a 16x optical zoom lens with servo control*, a 3.5″ LCD Viewfinder (960x540 pixels), and a variety of interfaces — including SD/HD-SDI and iLink. Its three-dimensional noise reducer keep the camera operating below 60dB; that’s the highest level of noise reduction in a 1/2&Prmie;-type Full HD shoulder camcorder. Equally impressive is its low power consumption of 25W.

Outstanding Picture Quality. Because the PXW-X320 utilizes three 1/2-inch-type Full HD Exmor Sensors, users can expect images as large as 1920x1080. This camera’s high sensitivity of F11 at 59.94Hz (F12 at 50Hz) and enhanced flash band reducing algorithm, which is processed at the hardware level, ensure uncompromising image fidelity. It is worth noting that the flash band reduction is a feature that can be disabled in the camera’s menus. Moreover, the menus themselves are customizable with a “User Menu” of user dictated shortcuts.

Wireless adapter increases operational flexibility. The PXW-X320 is designed to support wireless operation using an optional wireless adapter, the CBK-WA101, which can be attached without any additional cables. Using this adapter, you can stream out pictures for live shooting via an IP network. After shooting, you can select a recorded proxy or high resolution** file from the list and upload it to an on-premises server or to a cloud service via a mobile Wireless LAN router or 3G/4G/LTE device. The adapter also provides live monitoring and remote control of the PXW-X320 by mobile tablet or smartphone with mobile application software.

*The Sony X320 is also available without the lens; ask about the PXW-320L if interested.

    * *A USB connection is required.
