Sony’s PMW-PZ1 4K SxS Memory Player is built on an IC (hardware codec) which features multi-format playback capability for 4K (including 59.94p, 50p, 29.97p, 25p, 23.98p and 24p), QFHD, and HD - supporting a wide variety of formats (including but not limited to: XAVC Intra and XAVC Long, XAVC S-Long, MPEG HD422 and MPEG HD).
The PMW-PZ1 is setup with a single SxS card slot and the contents can be output via HDMI, 3G/HD-SDI, or USB 3.0. The USB interface allows users to transfer files directly to an external drive or device, but control is also possible with a USB mouse the interface. The PZ1’s front face sports a 3.5? LCD color monitor capable of playback.
