The LP-E19 has the same form factor and contact arrangement as the older LP-E4N, but this newer iteration of battery expands the capability of the 1DX Mark II. Using smart communication, users can check the remaining charge, shutter count, and recharge performance in the cameraâ€â„¢s menu. On the new Mark II, the LP-E4N will have 10% less capacity and a lower max frame rate (12 fps).
The LP-E19 is best charged on the LC-E19 Battery Charger. Though it can be charged on Canonâ€â„¢s earlier chargers, it wonâ€â„¢t be able to fully regain its charge.
